DOT (Department of Transportation)

This course will familiarize you with the DOT regulations as they relate to marking, labeling, paperwork, shipping, safety and security. It is designed to fulfill the requirements under 49 CFR Subpart H 172.704 for industries that have minimal hazardous materials in the workplace. This course includes information regarding general awareness of DOT regulations, function specific training, and basic emergency response information and security risks. (A more in-depth course is available for companies that have large amounts of hazardous materials).

RCRA (Resource Conservation Recovery Act)

Our Online RCRA course will familiarize the students with the general hazardous waste regulations as they pertain to your facility. The course will provide participants with a general awareness of the emergency response plan and emergency equipment. This course is designed to follow the requirements of 40 CFR 265.16. This course will provide a general understanding of the many topics including Introduction to Hazardous Waste Regulations, Identifying a Hazardous Waste, How to Determine Generator Status, Proper Containers for Hazardous Waste, Satellite Accumulation, Container Labeling, Preparing to Ship Hazardous Waste, The Hazardous Waste Manifest, and Record-keeping and reporting.

HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operation and Emergency Response) 40 hours

This course instructs participants in the practices and procedures necessary to recognize worksite hazards. It is designed to initiate the participant on subjects that are required by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration 29 CFR 1910.120 for General Industry and 29 CFR 1926.65 for Construction.


This course is designed for all employees working on site (such as but not limited to equipment operators, general laborers and others) exposed to hazardous substances, health hazards, or safety hazards and their supervisors and management responsible for the site. They shall receive training meeting the requirements before they are permitted to engage in hazardous waste operations that could expose them to hazardous substances, safety, or health hazards, and they shall receive review training as specified in OSHA's 29 CFR 1910.120 paragraph (e).

HAZWOPER Annual 8-hour Refresher

This course allows participants to recertify their Hazardous Materials First Responder level training. It is designed to fulfill the annual refresher requirements and give participants updates on new technologies, equipment, regulations or procedures in the world of hazardous materials response. Advances in personal protective equipment (PPE), containment and control equipment and measures, new or redesigned references and research material, detection and monitoring equipment advances, decontamination enhancements and OSHA, EPA, DOT or other regulatory changes will be discussed during the course. This course is designed to follow the requirements of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) 29 CFR 1910.120 and other applicable regulations.

OSHA General Industry 10 and 30 hours

This course is intended to provide entry level general industry workers information about their rights, employer responsibilities, and how to file a complaint as well as how to identify, abate, avoid and prevent job related hazard on a job site. The training covers a variety of general industry safety and health hazards which a work may encounter. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not necessarily OSHA standards.


The 10-hour is for workers that need awareness of common job-related safety and health hazards.


The 30-hour training program is intended to provide workers with some safety responsibility a greater depth and variety of training. All outreach training is intended to cover an overview of the hazards a worker may encounter on a job site. Training emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention, not OSHA standards.

IATA

When shipping Dangerous Goods (Hazardous Materials) by Air, there is more to comply with than just the US DOT regulations, the ICAO (IATA) regulations must also be considered. Air shipments may have variances from air lines including UPS, FEDEX, Delta, etc. and also other countries. These variances may only be complied with by understanding the IATA Regulations.


SEA IATA course covers the following material:

All attendees must have completed a DOT Course within the last years and have a current IATA Dangerous Goods Regulation at the class. Attendees may bring their own copy or SEA can provide one for an additional fee.

OSHA 10 HOUR TRAINING BEST PRACTICES FOR CONSTRUCTION WORKERS

If you work in construction, you have heard of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, otherwise known as OSHA. OSHA sets federal guidelines designed to protect employees, customers and clients; businesses are legally required to follow these guidelines. An OSHA regulation violation can lead to stiff penalties, and more importantly, can also create a hazardous, or possibly even deadly, construction zone. OSHA compliance is often complicated because of the many rules and guidelines. Without proper training on best practices for construction zone safety, infractions can become commonplace.
